But maybe at the top of that list is the Star Wars Holiday Special that originally aired in 1978 and then faded into obscurity after it was met with less than stellar reactions from fans watching at home. There are still videos that float around of the Star Wars Holiday Special and unfortunately one of them slipped into the hands of Rust Cohle from HBO’s True Detective.
Instead of just destroying it and hoping the poison never spread to anyone else, he shows the tape to his former partner Marty Hart.
