Following a critically acclaimed first season, Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ has officially been renewed for season 2 with some changes in who is running things….
To no one’s surprise Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ is officially returning for season 2 after Netflix renewed the series with an announcement made on Twitter on Tuesday.

One piece of news that was a bit of a shock, however, is the turnover in the show runner for ‘Daredevil’ season 2.
Steven DeKnight, who was in charge of ‘Spartacus’ before taking over ‘Daredevil’, is out and will not return for season 2.
The new show runners will be Doug Petrie — best known for his work on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘American Horror Story’ — as well as Marco Ramirez — best known for his work on ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’, as they take over from DeKnight in season 2.
The good news is both Petrie and Ramirez worked on ‘Daredevil’ season one so there shouldn’t be a massive difference with this duo in charge as opposed to DeKnight.
“While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch,” DeKnight said in a press release on Tuesday. “They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.”
The cast of ‘Daredevil’ including Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and Deborah Ann Woll are all expected to return for season 2 as well as the rest of the supporting cast.
‘Daredevil’ season 2 will debut on Netflix in 2016.
