The fourth Marvel series on Netflix ‘Iron Fist’ finally has a release date….
Get ready to meet Danny Rand for the first time.
Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ — the fourth series headed to Netflix that follows Danny Rand after he returns home 15 years after he was presumed dead — will officially debut on March 17, 2017.
Here’s the story direct from Netflix:
“Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.”
Finn Jones — best known for playing Ser Loras Tyrell on ‘Game of Thrones’ — will play Danny Rand in the new series, which is expected to serve as the final debut before Marvel launches ‘The Defenders’. That series will team up all four of the Marvel shows — Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist — on Netflix together in one massive crossover.
There is also a new series surrounding ‘The Punisher’ starring Jon Bernthal, but there’s no word yet if he will tie back into ‘The Defenders’ or not.
Netflix also released a new image of Danny Rand in action as ‘Iron Fist’.
‘Iron Fist’ is still wrapping up production as season one prepares to launch in March 2017.
