Netflix has officially renewed ‘Luke Cage’ for season 2…
When ‘Luke Cage’ debuted back in September, the latest Marvel series crashed Netflix for a few hours, which signified just how much people were anticipating the show about a ‘Hero for Hire’.
So it’s to no one’s surprise that Netflix has officially renewed ‘Luke Cage’ for a second season.

What we don’t know for certain is when ‘Luke Cage’ season 2 might debut.
Netflix has a lot of Marvel series on the scheduled right now with the next show ‘Iron Fist’ set to debut in March 2017. After that series debuts, it’s expected that the limited team up series ‘The Defenders’ — which features Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist — will be the second series in 2017.
‘Daredevil’ has also been renewed for season 3 as well as ‘Jessica Jones’ for season 2.
In other words, don’t expect ‘Luke Cage’ to likely return until sometime in 2018. Don’t worry because Luke Cage will still make an appearance in the eight episode series ‘The Defenders’, where the heroes will go up against a new villain played by Sigourney Weaver.
