Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ Coming to an End with Season 3, New Trailer Debuts (VIDEO)

Another Marvel show is coming to an end as ‘Runaways’ will conclude with the third and final season debuting on Hulu on December 13…

Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ will come to an end with a third and final season set to debut on Hulu on Dec. 13.

The surprising announcement comes just weeks before the show is set to return for a 10 episode installment that was already slated to drop in December but the decision to make this the final season happened rather suddenly.

It’s unknown if this was planned all along or if the plug was just ultimately pulled on the series.

Marvel has been cutting back nearly all of the series that have been airing on different networks over the past few years as the studio begins moving more and more original content to the Disney+ streaming service that just launched last week. While Disney owns Marvel and the majority of the stake in Hulu, it appears ‘Runaways’ was another casualty of the growing trend of moving everything over to the new streaming service.

Following the announcement of “Runaways” coming to an end, a new trailer was also released teasing what lies ahead in season 3.

The season will focus on the Runaways searching for their missing friends — Chase, Gert and Karolina — while simultaneously battling back against their own parents, who have been taken over by a race of aliens hell bent on world domination. The group will also encounter a new villain this season named Morgan le Fay, who will begin developing a mentorship of sorts with Nico as she struggles to understand and contain the powers that she possesses.

‘Runaways’ season 3 will also feature a crossover with the lead characters from “Cloak and Dagger”, which is also an interesting twist because that show also just got cancelled a few weeks ago after two seasons on the Freeform network.

Check out the new trailer for “Runaways” and get ready for the final 10 episodes to drop on Dec. 13 on Hulu.
