Veteran actor Michael Chiklis, best known for his role on the FX series ‘The Shield’ will be joining the cast of the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Freak Show….
Let the games begin…
While creator Ryan Murphy tends to like to use a lot of the same actors and actresses for each season of American Horror Story, he’s been known to pull off a coup every now and again to really up the ante for the show. For the third season titled ‘Coven’ he was able to add Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Emma Roberts to boost an already stellar cast.
Now for the upcoming season four dubbed ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’, Murphy has enlisted veteran actor Michael Chiklis to play a key role in the new show debuting in October.
Chiklis, best known for his part on the award winning series The Shield, will play the ex-husband of Kathy Bates character on the upcoming season and father to the character who will be played by Evan Peters.
American Horror Story: Freak Show takes place in a carnival setting in Jupiter, Florida during 1950 with Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat, who leads one of the last ‘freak shows’ still touring the United States. The cast also includes Bassett, Sarah Paulson, and Frances Conroy.
Look for ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ to debut on FX this October.
