Veteran character actor Michael Massee, who is best known from his role in ‘The Crow’ has died at the age of 64…
Michael Massee — a veteran character actor from numerous film and TV roles — has died at the age of 64 after battling cancer according to his wife in a statement to Variety.
Massee died on October 20 in Los Angeles.
Massee started as “Funboy” in the 1994 cult classic ‘The Crow’ and he was the unfortunate actor who fired an improperly prepared prop gun that ultimately shot and killed actor Brandon Lee on the set. Lee was the son of legendary martial arts actor and star Bruce Lee.
Massee never watched ‘The Crow’ after it was released and the actor ended up taking some time off from his career due to the traumatic and tragic events that surrounded the shooting on the movie set.
Later in his career, Massee went on to star in films such as ‘Se7en’ and ‘The Game’ as well as appearances on television in the first season of ’24’ as well as in the short lived HBO series ‘Carnivale’.
