The latest addition to the ‘Breaking Bad’ spinoff titled ‘Better Call Saul’ is veteran comedic actor Michael McKean, who will join the show as a series regular…
On the heels of the series finale for ‘Breaking Bad’, it didn’t take long for AMC to find the right spinoff to keep the show’s momentum going so ‘Better Call Saul’ was born focusing on Walter White’s less than scrupulous attorney Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk).
Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut) already signed on to be a series regular on the new show, which takes place prior to the events in ‘Breaking Bad’.
Now according to Deadline, Michael McKean has also joined the cast in a series role playing a new character — Dr. Thurber, who is a brilliant attorney now restricted by an unusual affliction.
McKean has starred in dozens of films and TV shows including a recent turn in the series ‘Family Tree’ as well as his iconic role in the cult classic Spinal Tap.
‘Better Call Saul’ is expected to debut on AMC later this year.
