Before there were Avengers or even genius billionaire playboy philanthropists, there was another hero sent to say the world and her name was Carol Danvers.
The newest trailer for ‘Captain Marvel’ arrived on Monday night showcasing all sorts of new footage of Brie Larson in the starring role as Earth’s savior, who returned from an alien world with no memory of her previous life.
She meets Nick Fury and they team up to piece together the puzzle that was her life on Earth while also preparing for an alien invasion from the shape-shifting race known as the Skrulls.
‘Captain Marvel’ takes place in the early 1990’s, long before the Avengers Initiative was put into place so this will be a prequel of sorts for the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — and a precursor to Captain Marvel returning yet again in the next ‘Avengers’ movie.
