The new ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer has arrived in the aftermath of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ so watch at your own peril if you haven’t seen the last Avengers movie…
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN AVENGERS: ENDGAME.
The newest ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer has arrived and it takes place in a post ‘Avengers: Endgame’ world, which means there are plenty of spoilers for that movie if you haven’t seen it yet.
Following a final battle with Thanos on Earth, Tony Stark gave his life to save the world by using the Infinity Gauntlet to snap the ‘Mad Titan’ and his army out of existence.
Now in the wake of Tony’s death, Peter Parker is taking up some of the work he left behind when he gets recruited by Nick Fury for a special mission while vacationing in Europe with his classmates.
Perhaps the biggest piece of information to come from this trailer is the confirmation that there is now a multi-verse that was splintered out in numerous directions after the Avengers traveled back in time to retrieve the Infinity stones in an effort to defeat Thanos.
The multi-verse has now produced new heroes and villains crossing over to our Earth including Fury’s new sidekick — Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal).
Of course we all know that Quentin Beck is Mysterio, the villain of this movie, but it will be interesting to find out how exactly he breaks bad after appearing to be a mentor of sorts to Peter in the trailer. In one of the origin stories for Mysterio in the comic books, he starts out as a hero to disguise his criminal activities on the side before Spider-Man finally exposes him. Obviously the revelation of how Mysterio turns from hero to villain won’t be made clear until ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ hits theaters on July 2.
