The newest teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released and it looks like Finn has a lightsaber….
Leave it to the Star Wars Instagram page of all place to release the latest teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and while the footage isn’t all fresh, there’s one image at the end that you’ll definitely not forget.
The original teaser released months ago showed a dark figure holding a lightsaber but when he turned the weapon on, we got our first glimpse at the first ever lightsaber broadsword.
It was later revealed that the new lightsaber design belonged to bad guy Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) and as it turns out he is obsessed with Darth Vader and the legacy he left behind (thus the red lightsaber).
Now in this latest footage we see who Kylo Ren was facing off with in that darkened, cold forest.
It’s Finn!
John Boyega’s character first appeared as a Stormtrooper in the original teaser but it’s been just about the worst kept secret from the new Star Wars movie that he’s actually fighting with the good guys.
Check out the teaser below and hopefully we will soon see a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie opens in theaters on December 18!
