Olivia Munn will go from ‘The Newsroom’ to ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ after signing on to star as Psylocke in the upcoming feature film…
Olivia Munn — best known from her stint on the HBO series ‘The Newsroom’ or from hosting G4’s ‘Attack of the Show’ for several years — has signed on to start as Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke in the new film ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’.
Munn joins a massive cast already on board for the production including Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Hugh Jackman.

Psylocke has been around the Marvel Universe for over 30 years but her time spent with the X-Men has been the biggest section of her time spent in comic books. Psylocke is a powerful telepath and also uses telekinesis while also possessing the power to create a ‘psychic sword’ which manifests itself as matter by using only her mind.
Munn will play Psylocke in the ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ which opens on May 27, 2016.
