Patrick Wilson will be going up against Jason Momoa in the new ‘Aquaman’ movie due out in 2018…
Patrick Wilson — best known for his roles in ‘Fargo’ and ‘Watchmen’ — has signed onto play Arthur Curry’s evil half brother Orm aka the Ocean Master in the upcoming ‘Aquaman’ film from director James Wan.
In the comics, Orm Marius is a fierce rival to his half brother (played by Jason Momoa) as they battle for the right to sit on the throne of Atlantis. His powers include magic manipulation as well as energy projection and telepathy, although there’s no telling what changes might be made for the film adaptation for the Ocean Master.
Wilson has been very busy over the past year after a critically acclaimed performance in the FX limited series ‘Fargo’ in 2015. Already in 2016, Wilson has appeared in ‘The Conjuring 2’ as well as upcoming roles in ‘The Hollow Point’ as well as ‘The Founder’ where he stars opposite Michael Keaton in the story about the founder of McDonald’s.
This will be Wilson’s second turn as part of the DC Universe after playing Nite Owl in Zack Snyder’s ‘Watchmen’ adaptation in 2009.
‘Aquaman’ is due for release on October 5, 2018.
