Paul Rudd is the latest addition to the upcoming ‘Ghostbusters’ sequel/reboot from director Jason Reitman….
Who you gonna call? Well Ant-Man of course!
On Thursday, Paul Rudd confirmed that he will be joining the cast of the upcoming ‘Ghostbusters’ film that will serve as a sequel/reboot of sorts from writer/director Jason Reitman, who takes over for his father Ivan Reitman after he directed the first two movies in the series.
Rudd was featured in a video outside the New York City firehouse that served as the outside of the famous ‘Ghostbusters’ headquarters in the original films where he made his announcement.
“When I heard they were gonna call me, well, as you can imagine, I nearly slimed myself,” Rudd said. “I can’t wait to join the cast this fall for Ghostbusters. In fact, I’m sliming myself right now.”

Rudd will play a teacher living in a small town but no further details about his character were revealed. Rudd joins a cast that also includes Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) playing a mother and son, who get caught up in whatever ghostly madness ensues.
Sigourney Weaver previously confirmed that she would be returning to play Dana Barrett in the third ‘Ghostbusters’ movie with the rest of the original cast including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson almost certainly making appearances as well, although none of them have been confirmed yet.
‘Ghostbusters’ is due out in theaters on July 10, 2020.
