Listen to our latest episode of “Rewind of the Living Dead” where hosts Damon Martin and Patrick Guera take a deep dive on Mike Flanagan’s follow up to “The Shining” with his 2019 film “Doctor Sleep.”
Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, Flanagan revisits Danny Torrance years after the torment he suffered at the hands of his father in the Overlook Hotel but he gets drawn back into that haunted world after a group of psychic vampires targets a little girl named Abra who can shine.
Does Flanagan’s film serve as a worthy sequel to “The Shining” or does he fall short in his attempt to adapt a King novel as so many people have done in the past.
