Quentin Tarantino is about to begin casting and production for his new movie titled ‘The Hateful Eight’…
Director/writer Quentin Tarantino is a man who enjoys working on his own time schedule. Sometimes he’ll put together a movie project that will actually span two films (like Kill Bill 1 & 2) and other times it takes him more than a decade to actually bring a movie to fruition (Inglorious Basterds).
This time around, Tarantino’s break from filmmaking will only be a couple of years because after the success and enjoyment he had doing a western genre film with ‘Django Unchained‘, he’s returning to that format again for his new movie ‘The Hateful Eight‘.
Tarantino first revealed a few months ago that he would be doing a western for his next movie, but there was no time table for a release date or when he might finish the scrip to begin production.
According to several sources, Tarantino has finished work on the scrip and he’s now moving onto casting for the upcoming movie.
Christoph Waltz — who won Oscars for his performances in both Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained — is apparently one actor who will rejoin Tarantino for this new project after a role was specifically written for him in the script. Actor Bruce Dern is another name that’s been popping up as a possibility for a role in the new film.
Dern had a small role in ‘Django Unchained‘ as well.
The new film is moving along quickly with a casting director and other key players being added, so it appears Tarantino’s next movie may find its way into theaters as early as 2015.
