The latest reports out of Hollywood have Colin Farrell in talks to join the cast of ‘True Detective’ season 2…
There’s very little to be certain about when it comes to HBO’s breakout anthology series ‘True Detective’ thanks to the super secretive nature of show creator Nic Pizzolatto. He’s virtually scoffed at every rumor that’s surfaced over the last few months from reports that the show would be all female leads to the idea that ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ actress Jessica Chastain was joining the cast.
So in other words take this piece of information with a grain of salt…
The latest news out of ‘True Detective’ season 2 rumors is that veteran actor Colin Farrell is in talks to join the show in one of the leads for the upcoming season. Now, Pizzolatto did confirm recently that the series will likely have at least three if not four main characters for season two, but he stopped short of any further details.
Farrell would fall in line with the casting choices of season one where ‘True Detective’ used Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson — two noted film actors — to play the lead roles in the series knowing full well there would only be a multi-episode commitment.
Whether this deal comes to fruition or not remains to be seen, but several outlets have reported the news so now it’s just a wait and see game if he joins the cast or if this is another bad rumor circling the drain.
