Ryan Murphy has released a few more details about his planned crossover season on ‘American Horror Story’…
A few months back, Ryan Murphy revealed that he was planning a crossover season of ‘American Horror Story’ that would unite characters from the first season — affectionately referred to as ‘Murder House’ — and the third season titled ‘Coven’.
While Murphy stated at the time that the crossover season wouldn’t happen right away, it’s clear he has a vision for what will take place when it happens after teasing a few more details recently.
It seems that at least one character from ‘Murder House’ will appear at Miss Robichaux’s Academy from ‘Coven’ where the new Supreme Cordelia Foxx is running her school for witches.
“It’s a character from season 1 that will be thrust into the world that you are left with at the end of Coven, which is sort of like the male/female/witch academy,” Murphy said about the ‘American Horror Story’ crossover.
“And then all of those characters will intertwine, which is confusing because some of them are from seasons 1 and 3. Like, Sarah Paulson will probably be playing 18 characters.”
It’s an interesting twist considering how many characters weren’t left alive at the end of the first season of ‘American Horror Story’ but one possibility would be Constance — played by Jessica Lange — and her grandson, who was believed to be the anti-Christ after being born from her son’s ghost and Vivien Harmon. Seeing what happened to that child as he grew up was always a curiosity and perhaps that’s how the two seasons will connect?
Regardless, ‘American Horror Story’ season 7 won’t focus on the crossover but we do know the show has already been renewed through season 9 on FX so there’s plenty of time for Murphy to unveil his grand plans for the series at a later date.
