Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has been cast as a recurring character on the final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’….
Kurt Sutter recently teased a major casting for the upcoming final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and it was announced on Thursday that shock rocker turned actor Marilyn Manson would be joining the show in a recurring role.
Manson will play a white supremacist shot caller in prison named Ron Tully, who Jax deals with while expanding his base around northern California.
Sutter had actually contemplated doing a song with Manson towards the end of last season for the show’s soundtrack and while that could still be on the table, it appears the singer/songwriter made such an impression on the series creator that he landed an acting spot as well.
“Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” Manson said in a press release. “So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”
Manson has done a fair amount of acting in the last couple of years including guest spots in HBO’s ‘Eastbound and Down’ as well as the ABC series Once Upon a Time. He will now add a recurring role on the final seasons of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ to his resume.
Season 7 — the final season — of Sons of Anarchy will debut on FX this September
