The team at Pied Piper is closing up shop.
The critically acclaimed comedy ‘Silicon Valley’ is coming to an end with the upcoming sixth season on HBO with the series expected to start filming soon with a debut for the final episodes later this year.
There have been rumors swirling for months that ‘Silicon Valley’ could be reaching its final season after production on the series was delayed while showrunner Alec Berg was juggling two series while also heading up the award winning comedy-drama ‘Barry’ as well.
“Silicon Valley has been a career and life highlight for us,” series creator Mike Judge and showrunner Alec Berg said in a joint statement. “We’ll miss it desperately, but we’ve always let Pied Piper’s journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion. We are forever indebted to our incredible cast, crew, and partners at HBO. At a certain point, there’s only so much we can do to make the world a better place.”
‘Silicon Valley’ was met with immediate praise after the series first debuted back in 2014 and the show has been nominated for an Emmy for best comedy series every year that it’s been on the air.
Now ‘Silicon Valley’ will prepare to say goodbye with a final slate of episodes expected to debut on HBO later this year.
