The final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ is exactly two weeks away and creator Kurt Sutter has been releasing some pictures from the original pilot of the show…
Before Ron Perlman ended up playing Clay Morrow on ‘Sons of Anarchy’, the original pilot for the show shot with actor Scott Glenn playing the part. Glenn is well known for his roles in features such as ‘Urban Cowboy’ and he’s currently starring in the HBO series ‘The Leftovers’. Glenn filmed the original pilot as Clay, but once the show got closer to series, Sutter and his team decided to switch gears and replace Glenn with Perlman instead.
The rest as they say is history.
There’s no telling if Sutter will eventually release that pilot for public consumption once the show is completed later this year, but he’s at least giving a few teasers out including some pictures on his Instagram account.
First up was Scott Glenn dressed as Clay doing a scene with Tommy Flanagan (Chibs)
The second shot is another from the pilot with Theo Rossi dressed as a normal member of the MC (minus the mohawk) but the other member of the club is Emilio Rivera, who most fans should recognize as Marcus Alvarez — the president of the Mayan motorcycle club in Oakland.
Here’s hoping Sutter lets out a few more nuggets as the season gets closer to debut on September 9 at 10pm ET/PT. Don’t forget the most comprehensive ‘Sons of Anarchy’ preview will debut on Nerdcore Movement next week in anticipation of the debut.
