The final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ almost had some guest stars from Bon Temps after Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin nearly landed in Charming last year….
Stephen Moyer has been dying to work with ‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator Kurt Sutter for sometime now and he’ll finally get the chance as a series regular on his upcoming show ‘The Bastard Executioner’, which debuts on September 15 on FX.
As it turns out, Moyer and his real life wife Anna Paquin, who starred together for seven seasons on HBO’s ‘True Blood’, nearly landed a deal to join the final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ but timing just didn’t work out.
According to Moyer, he was set to play a pimp and Paquin his working girl during the season.
“I was going to play a pimp and she was going to play a whore,” Moyer said recently. “We were trying to make it work. We were dead into it. The thing was, we agreed to have some time off after the end of ‘True Blood’, and we had already arranged it. Anna paid for the flights to New Zealand, and it happened that these bits and pieces were shooting while we were in New Zealand, and she hadn’t seen her family.
“We hadn’t been down there for ages. We just said we can’t do it, but we were obsessed with Sons, and it was date night tele for us in that macabre and weird, strange way that Sons of Anarchy became.”
There was an arc in the final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ about a pimp and his girl during the episode titled ‘Greensleeves’ so it makes you wonder if those were the roles originally imagined for Moyer and Paquin?
Unfortunately, we’ll never know.
Then again — maybe the one time blood sucking super couple could make a guest appearance on the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ prequel that Sutter has planned for the future???
