The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff’ tentatively titled ‘Mayans MC’ has added another face to the growing cast.
Sarah Bolger — best known for her roles on ‘Into the Badlands’, ‘Agent Carter’ and ‘Once Upon a Time’ — has been cast in a co-lead spot on the new series opposite JD Pardo.
The spinoff is set in the aftermath of Jax Teller’s death with the Mayans Motorcycle Club along the California and Mexico borders and centers around a prospect name EZ Reyes (Pardo) and Bolger will play Emily, his childhood sweetheart who ended up living in mansions and living a very wealthy life after he moved away.
Bolger is the latest addition to a growing cast that also includes Edward James Olmos, who plays EZ’s father, as well as John Ortiz, who portrays the president of the Mayans MC chapter on the new series.
‘Mayans MC’ has been picked up to pilot by FX with ‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator Kurt Sutter acting as executive producer and director behind the first episode.
