Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has added Drea De Matteo to the cast in a villainous role for the second half of season 2…
Drea De Matteo — best known for her roles on ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘Sons of Anarchy’ — is joining the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the second half of season 2, which picks up on March 3 on ABC.
De Matteo will star as Karla Faye Gideon, a woman with gifted abilities who teams up with Skye’s father Cal in a vendetta against S.H.I.E.L.D.
“We’re thrilled to have Drea join us as yet another great villain to challenge our cast,” said Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “We relished the opportunity to work with her in such a menacing role.”
There’s no word on how many episodes De Matteo will appear in but she will pop up in at least one of the final episodes as the season kicks into high gear upon its return in early March.
