A new scene from ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ was released on Thursday featuring a pivotal moment featuring Kylo Ren…
“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” lands in theaters on December 20 but just a week ahead of the release, a new clip from the movie was unveiled on Thursday featuring what would seem to be a pivotal moment in the film.
In the clip, Kylo Ren flies to an unknown planet in his TIE Fighter before igniting his lightsaber as it appears he’s looking for someone or something in this hidden temple. A loud voice soon come booming through the room — and it belongs to Emperor Palpatine.
Of course, the Emperor’s return has been confirmed for some time now but this meeting with Kylo Ren would appear to be a rather important plot point, especially given the context of the conversation.
Emperor Palpatine can be heard telling Kylo Ren that he’s been the voice inside his head throughout his life — and then you’ll hear the voices of both Supreme Leader Snoke and Darth Vader himself (meaning James Earl Jones returns as well) speaking to him.
Obviously if Lucasfilm is releasing this teaser close to the movie’s debut date, there’s more to this story than meets the eye but it will be interesting to see what comes of this interaction between Kylo Ren and the Emperor.
Take a look at the scene and get ready for “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” in theaters everywhere on Friday, Dec. 20.
