The master of horror Stephen King and J.J. Abrams are teaming up on a scary new series for Hulu…

Be afraid.

That’s a warning directly from writer Stephen King, who teased his new television series via Twitter on Friday, as he once again teams up with J.J. Abrams on a new series for Hulu.

“Castle Rock” — best known as one of the fictional destinations in Maine that King uses for many of his horror novels — will serve as the bedrock for the new series that dropped its first teaser along with the announcement.

Admirers of King’s work will recognize Castle Rock as the setting for some of his most famous novels including ‘The Dead Zone’, ‘Cujo’ and ‘Needful Things’ while also being mentioned in other works such as ‘It’ ‘The Stand’ and even ‘Shawshank Redemption’.

Now ‘Castle Rock’ will be the destination for the new horror series being developed in secrecy by King and Abrams for Hulu. This is actually the second time they have teamed up together on a series after developing ‘11.22.63’ for Hulu last year starring James Franco.

JJAbrams and I want to invite you to take a trip to Castle Rock. Soon. Be afraid.https://t.co/n1MJWSpv8Z

Judging by King’s ominous message on Twitter, it certainly looks like he’s ready to bring many of the scariest elements from his books to live in this new series.

There’s no word as of yet when ‘Castle Rock’ may debut on Hulu.
