Teri Hatcher joins ‘Supergirl’ season 2 in a villainous role for several episodes…
Teri Hatcher is returning to the Super-world with a new role on ‘Supergirl’ season 2.
Hatcher, who played Lois Lane in the series ‘Lois and Clark’, has been tapped to play the key villain in the second half of ‘Supergirl ‘season 2 while recurring in several episodes.
Hatcher, who has also starred on ‘Desperate Housewives’ as well as a recent arc on CBS’s ‘The Odd Couple’, will go up against Supergirl later this season when her mysterious character arrives in National City.
“No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement.
“To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg [Berlanti], and the fans.”
An interesting twist could be Hatcher’s potential involvement with the shadowy anti-alien organization Project Cadmus, which has kept Supergirl’s adoptive father Jeremiah Danvers captive for more than 15 years. On ‘Supergirl’, Danvers is played by Dean Cain, who co-starred alongside Hatcher on ‘Lois and Clark’.
This will actually be Hatcher’s third time in the Super-world after also making a brief appearance on ‘Smallville’ in 2010 as well.
Look for Hatcher’s villainous character to show up in the latter half of ‘Supergirl’ season 2, airing Monday nights at 8pm ET on the CW.
