From the ‘it’s too strange not to be true’ files, Tyler Perry is set to play Baxter Stockman in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’….
Tyler Perry — best known for a laundry list of films he’s starred and produced including ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman’ as well as a role in last year’s ‘Gone Girl’ alongside Ben Affleck — is set to star in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ as scientist Baxter Stockman.
Fans of the Turtles will likely remember Stockman best as the mad scientist who invented the Mouser robots for Shredder before eventually being mutated into a fly creature that continues to torment the heroes on a half shell.
Perry joins the cast alongside Megan Fox, Will Arnett and Stephen Amell, who are currently set to star in the sequel due out on June 3, 2016.
Details about the plot are still under wraps but it’s likely Perry’s version of Stockman will be a villain of the Turtles in the upcoming film.
