The cast for Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter’s next show ‘The Bastard Executioner’ has been revealed including an unknown newcomer in the lead role…
Before Kurt Sutter cast Charlie Hunnam as the lead in ‘Sons of Anarchy’, most people only knew him as one of the stars of the British version of ‘Queer as Folk’ or maybe his part in the film ‘Green Street Hooligans’ but it wasn’t until he started playing Jax Teller in the outlaw biker drama that he became an international star.
It appears Sutter plans to do the same for Australian theater actor Lee Jones, who has been cast as the lead in his new series ‘the Bastard Executioner’, which begins filming in Wales on March 19.
‘The Bastard Executioner’ follows the story of an executioner in King Edward’s army who throws down his sword only to be pulled back into the fray when the violence around him escalates, he’s forced to draw down again in the bloodiest war of them all.
In addition to Jones in the lead, ‘True Blood’ star Stephen Moyer will play the featured co-star role as the executioner’s best friend and mate while ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star (and Sutter’s wife) Katey Sagal also lands a co-starring role in the new show as well.
