The highly anticipated musical crossover between ‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ just got a villain…
‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ will debut a two-part musical crossover later this year and the villain is a familiar foe first created in the ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’ cartoon series.
The Music Meister — voiced by Neil Patrick Harris — will wreak havoc in the two-part episode that will span across ‘Supergirl’ and ‘The Flash’ later this season.
The Music Meister first appeared in the 2009 episode of ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’ where the villain was able to control people through his songs.
Executive producer Greg Berlanti said casting for The Music Meister is ongoing, although he admitted that they are huge fans of Harris’ work so there’s always a chance he could reprise the role in live action form during the crossover episodes.
The two-part musical crossover hasn’t even started filming yet but the idea is already being compared to the famous ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ episode titled ‘Once More with Feeling’, which remains one of the most beloved episodes during that entire series.
There’s no word just yet on when ‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ musical crossover will air but both shows will return to the CW in late January with brand new episodes.
