It looks like The Flash will be speeding into National City for an appearance in Supergirl this season as the two superhero shows crossover….
The Scarlet Speedster is coming to National City.
CBS announced on Wednesday that plans are in place for Grant Gustin’s The Flash to crossover to Supergirl for an upcoming appearance on the popular series currently airing on Monday nights.
There has been speculation for months that the two shows would eventually crossover considering The Flash is on the CW, which is partially owned by CBS, and shares the same creative team behind Supergirl.
“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl—The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!,” Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, executive produers, said in a statement. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out.
“And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”
The Flash will crossover with Supergirl in an episode that will air on Monday, March 28 so mark your calendars for one of the biggest events of the Spring when the two DC heroes finally meet on screen.
