The Flash — starring Ezra Miller in the big screen adaptation of the fastest man alive — has already suffered a set back with director Seth Grahame-Smith leaving the project over ‘creative differences’.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Grahame-Smith left the project entirely this week although the script he wrote for the movie will still be used for the film that’s due out on March 16, 2018.
For those unfamiliar with Grahame-Smith’s previous work, he was a screenwriter on projects such as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as well as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
The Flash movie was expected to be his directorial debut.
There’s no word yet on who could replace Grahame-Smith but this seems to be just the latest problem for the Warner Bros/DC film universe after Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice opened big and then crashed hard after reviews for the movie were less than favorable.
The Flash was already taking shots after Ezra Miller was cast in the lead role while many fans championed Grant Gustin to play the part after such a successful run on the TV show counterpart currently airing on the CW.
Ezra Miller made his very brief debut as Barry Allen/The Flash in Batman V. Superman along with Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
The Flash is also set to appear in the upcoming Justice League movie from director Zack Snyder, which is due out on November 17, 2017, just four months ahead of The Flash movie from Warner Bros.
