In The Flash recap, Grood is rampaging and Barry is trying to work on getting back…

Barry is working hard on re-learning how to walk, but is frustrated by the slow progress. Wells tells the team he is heading home, with or without their help. Cisco gets an alert on his computer but it turns out to be a text alert letting him know his date is an hour away.
Caitlin finds Wells and tries to convince him to stay. He tells her no, but on her way out she gives him an idea on how to get at Zoom. Cisco is excited when explaining the movie to Kendra, but when he touches her shoulder he gets a vibe of her, future self, and nervously says he has to leave.
A doctor goes crazy at a lab, and steals a bottle of something and takes it outside. Once her gets outside he comes to and wonders what just happened. He turns to see Grodd and catches a handful of gorilla for his trouble.
Patty and Papa Joe check the crime scene, and Patty informs him that this is the second doctor in two weeks to die. It’s the same serum stolen from both labs.
Barry tries to push himself on the treadmill, with Joe shouting words of encouragement, and he falls off the back. Papa Joe and Iris try to talk but Barry blows them off. He finally let’s go know that he is scared. He is scared for the city, for his future, for everything.
Cisco is nervously asking Caitlin about his vibe, and she gets all mind controlled and smacks Cisco and leaves. Papa Joe finds out about the hairs, and realizes who the villain is. He tells the team but it’s too late. Grodd and Caitlin are gone.
The team searches for Grodd, with Wells, but they don’t see him. Barry is hopeless because he can’t help Caitlin. She wakes up in a dark room, and Grodd calls out to her. She questions him, and he asks for her help. She explains to him that the dark matter explosion is the reason he is Grodd. He asks her to make more of HIM!!
Barry works hard, and almost gets it. A familiar voice cheers Barry up. It turns out Iris is behind calling him. Cisco explains to Wells how Grodd became Grodd. Wells once again comes up with something to help. Dad gives Barry a quick, what I have been up to, and then Cisco rushes in saying he thinks they found Grodd.
Harry dons the Reverse Flash’s suit in order to try to trick Grodd. Cisco and Harry work on his best Harrison impersonation. Dad gives Barry the, you should be out there speech, with yes you lost and feel ashamed but you need to get back on the horse. Grant is awesome with the feels scenes, but when Grant and John are together it is always water works.
Caitlin does her best scientist talk, and then Harry shows up. He tries to “sweet talk” Grodd. It It doesn’t go well. The team has the idea to dose Grodd up as much as they can, to overload his brain. This time Harry does a great impersonation, and the plan works. He jabs Grodd and, down goes Grodd, down goes Grodd.
Caitlin defends Grodd, when the others want to kill him. Harry, once again, comes up with an idea. It takes Dad to speak up and nominate Barry to get Grodd to the breach. Barry takes Grodd through the city leading him to the breach they want. Barry “flashes” back to Zoom destroying him, and it leads to Grodd roughing him up. Caitlin comes in and talks Grodd down. They open the breach and it slowly pulls on Grood. Henry pep talks Barry and he super punches Grodd into the wormhole.
Leave it to Dad to come through and make his kid believe again. They want to destroy the suit, but first Barry asks him to find out how the first Wells used the ring to shrink the suit into it. Caitlin explains to Harry the he has the team behind him to help. Barry, Joe and Iris show Henry some of Barry’s old school pictures, before he heads out. Barry takes his Dad to the bus station. He then heads to see Patty. She catches him in his lie, and Barry lies again. He tells Patty that he has been with his dad for the last few days. Patty lets him know that she needs to be able to trust him. Barry kind of blows it off and kisses her. Cisco shows up to Jitters and tries to smooth talk Kendra. After giving him a hard time, it works smoothly. Sparks fly and when she touches Cisco, he gets another vibe. This time revealing that Kendra will be the flying angel he saw the day before.
Grodd lands on earth-2 and takes a look around. He doesn’t like it much.
