To no one’s surprise, The Handmaid’s Tale’ has been renewed for a third season on Hulu after just four episodes into season two…
The ongoing saga of The Handmaid’s Tale will continue in 2019 after the series was renewed for a third season on Hulu on Wednesday.
The award winning series based on the book by Margaret Atwood cleaned up at both the Golden Globes and Emmys last year following the first season debuted starring Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski and Ann Dowd. While the first season of The Handmaid’s Tale covered the entire book written by Atwood, the huge success of the series led to a second season that just debuted last week on Hulu.
Now Hulu is once again betting big on The Handmaid’s Tale with a third season already ordered.
Show runner Bruce Miller had previously stated that he had detailed plans for how The Handmaid’s Tale would continue past the source material and thus far the second season has been very well received.
Now a third season of The Handmaid’s Tale is expected to go into production later this year before debuting on Hulu in 2019.
