The Lone Gunmen were a popular trio first introduced on ‘The X-Files’ during season one and making numerous appearances throughout the series as a group of conspiracy theorists and paranormal investigators who would regularly help Fox Mulder and his partner Dana Scully with information on a number of cases they were working on at the time.
Now for spoilers for those of you that didn’t watch ‘The X-Files’ series —
The Lone Gunmen actually died in the final season of the show, but that was later rectified in an ‘X-Files’ comic book released years later. Right now it’s unclear what role The Lone Gunmen will play in the ‘X-Files’ revival and whether or not creator Chris Carter will follow their fate on the old series or the comic book when bringing them back for the new series.
Either way, The Lone Gunmen are coming back as the ‘X-Files’ reunion tour continues!
