While rumors have circulated for months about the casting news, Marvel finally confirmed that both The Scarlet Witch and her superhero brother Quicksilver will be added to the upcoming sequel The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.
First up — Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff will be portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen, who will be seen in two upcoming releases — Godzilla and Oldboy. Olsen is just now finding her way to stardom and taking a role in the Avengers sequel certainly won’t hurt either.
As for Quicksilver, he will be portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is best known by comic book fans as Kick-Ass after playing the character in both the original and sequel to the comic book series created by Mark Millar.
The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron is expected to kick off principle photography in early 2014 with the film being released in May 2015 under the helm of director/writer Joss Whedon.
