The Walking Dead season six will finally see the arrival of ultimate villain Negan and he will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan…
Jeffrey Dean Morgan — best known for his roles in Watchmen and The Good Wife not to mention playing Thomas Wayne in the upcoming Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice — has been tapped to play iconic Walking Dead villain Negan.
The casting process to find the perfect person to play the seminal character has been ongoing for months, but Morgan has finally won the coveted role as the F-bomb dropping sociopath who kills people with a barbed-wire laced baseball bat he calls Lucille.
Negan’s arrival has been highly anticipated ever since Rick Grimes and his band of survivors arrived at Alexandria because in the comic books he’s the main antagonist to the town and it’s people.
Negan leads a neighboring community with an army he commands called ‘The Saviors’ and together they offer ‘protection’ from the zombies in exchange for half of the supplies gathered by the surrounding areas in the same part of Virginia.
His arrival in The Walking Dead issue 100 was one of the most iconic of the entire series as he introduces himself by bashing Glenn’s head in with his beloved Lucille. Now before you start screaming SPOILER, there’s no telling if the series will keep the same scene considering Glenn’s whereabouts are unknown currently but considering how well known that particular scene is to comic book fans, it’s hard to imagine the series won’t introduce Negan in a similar way.
Who he kills might be the ultimate surprise….
Look for Morgan to debut as Negan in The Walking Dead season 6 finale in 2016.
