The Walking Dead will return for the second half of season 6 on Feb. 14 and it appears there’s a surprise lurking around the corner in these final eight episodes …
Lauren Cohan — who Walking Dead fans know better as Maggie — couldn’t give much away about the second half of season six when she did a recent AMA on Reddit, but she was able to describe the final eight episodes with three words that are rather foreboding.
The second half of The Walking Dead season six promises to have more than a few surprises — including the eventual arrival of Negan to the show — and he might be the reason why Cohan sounds so ominous with her preview.
“Grueling. Fast. Blindsiding,” Cohan said when asked to describe the second half of the season.
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman has already said that Negan’s arrival is like ‘an atomic bomb’ going off on the show so that could be exactly what Cohan is teasing when she mentions ‘blindsiding’ as one of the adjectives to describe the final eight episodes.
Comic book readers have been anxiously awaiting Negan’s arrival, not to mention his original appearance from Kirkman’s source material results in the death of a character very near and dear to the heart of the show. Whether that debut remains the same for the TV series is still anybody’s guess.
The Walking Dead season six will return on Sunday, Feb. 14 on AMC.
