‘The Walking Dead’ once again cemented itself as the biggest show on television with the season 5 finale once again breaking previous records…
‘The Walking Dead’ continues to break down walls and crash through ratings records for a cable drama that not only beat out the NFL on several occasions this year (which is already ridiculous) but the series continues to be the biggest series on television in the coveted 18-49 year old demographic.
Sunday night’s episode titled ‘Conquer’ raked in an early estimation of 15.8 million viewers on average over the course of the 90-minute episode making it the most watched season finale of the show’s entire five season run.
‘The Walking Dead’ also pulled an 8.2 rating in the coveted 18-49 year old market, which once again places the series at the top of the ratings for any series on television today.
‘The Walking Dead’ remains more than two rating points ahead of its closest competitor, ‘The Voice’, on NBC and over three rating points ahead of ‘Empire’, which was a smash hit for FOX earlier this year.
‘The Walking Dead’ returns for new (record-breaking) episodes this October on AMC.
