A new clip from ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 hints at one person who might be the victim of Negan’s deadly baseball bat….
When ‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 came to a close, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finally made his ominous debut before introducing his best girl Lucille — a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire — to one of the unfortunate survivors who crossed him.
Now a new clip revealed during ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 preview on AMC hints that it may have been Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) who became Negan’s first victim.
The video shows Negan’s right hand man Dwight riding on Daryl’s motorcycle (which he already stole previously) but he’s wearing one very specific piece of clothing that also belonged to everybody’s favorite crossbow wielding bad ass.
His angel winged motorcycle vest.
‘The Walking Dead’ executive producer and show runner Scott Gimple offered no clues to go along with this new clip that debuted, although it seems rather obvious that if all signs are pointing towards Daryl’s death, he’s probably not the person who kissed Lucille for the first time.
“You know the beginning, and it’s almost here, so enjoy your summer because the beginning is someone’s end,” Gimple said. “But it is a beginning. What happens in episode one will shatter the lives of those who survive and will rend the narrative into different trajectories in which we will see our characters in completely new situations, torn from the pages of the comic and remixed in The Walking Dead remixinator 5000.”
In the original comic book during ‘The Walking Dead’ No. 100, it’s Glenn who gets introduced to Negan’s bat when the survivors run afoul of the leader from the Saviors. Glenn (Steven Yuen) already dodged death once before during season 6 so most people have speculated that he won’t be the victim when season 7 begins.
There have also been sightings of both Reedus and Yuen filming on ‘The Walking Dead’ set in Georgia just recently, but again the producers and writers have gone to great lengths to ensure this secret stays safe until the premiere so who knows.
What is for certain is that when ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7 picks up on October 23, viewers won’t have to wait long to find out who Negan killed because the revelation will be made during the debut episode.
