Following the release of Thor: The Dark World, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will pick up where the movie leaves off with a new episode on November 19….
Agents of SHIELD promised to be tied to the Marvel film universe and now there’s confirmation of when it will happen.
On November 8, Thor: The Dark World will open in theaters nationwide and then on November 19, Agents of SHIELD will pick up where the movie leaves off with a new episode titled ‘The Well’.
The description of the episode is as follows:
“In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces–one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.”
Now the sad news is that none of the actual stars from Thor: The Dark World are expected to appear in the episode, although that doesn’t mean a cameo isn’t possible.
Agents of SHIELD already pulled off one major guest appearance this season with Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role of SHIELD leader Nick Fury in an early episode, so there’s always a possibility someone from Thor pops up briefly as a surprise.
The episode will be directed by Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Jonathan Frakes.
