The cast for the upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot is looking to add veteran actor Tim Blake Nelson as the scientist who will one day become super villain Mole Man…
The upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot has filled most of the major roles for the movie including the primary cast — Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Richards, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm, as well as Toby Kebbell, who will play Viktor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom.
Now it appears the producers behind the movie are preparing for the inevitable sequel by adding Tim Blake Nelson to the cast as Harvey Elder — who comic book fans know better as his villainous alter ego Mole Man. Nelson is best known for his roles in films such as ‘O Brother Where Art Thou’ and ‘Syriana’ as well as ‘Wonderland’.
In the comics, Mole Man was actually the first villain to challenge the Fantastic Four after they gained their powers. According to the report from the Hollywood Reporter, Mole Man in his full incarnation won’t make an appearance in the upcoming movie, which all but cues up the sequel with Nelson playing a major role as a villain.
While the deal isn’t done yet, Nelson is close to finalizing a contract to play the part.
