Tom Hardy’s Jewish gangster Alfie Solomons will be returning to butt heads with Tommy Shelby in ‘Peaky Blinders’ season 3….
Following a breakout guest performance in the hit BBC series ‘Peaky Blinder’ season 2, Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Jewish gangster Alfie Solomons in season 3 this year.
Hardy joined an already stellar cast last season for a show that chronicles the rise of the Shelby family and their street gang called the Peaky Blinders (known for sewing razor blades in the brim of their caps).
Hardy’s character teamed up, turned on and then rejoined Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) in a business venture last season and it looks like they will be going head to head again this season.
“I think it is a tribute to the show and the writing that it can attract the caliber of actor like Tom Hardy,” Murphy said about Hardy, who he also worked with on ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. “It was great to catch up with him and work with him again, he and I are pals of old and obviously he has worked closely with Steve Knight so it very much kept the family vibe of the show going. Hopefully in season 3 we will be introducing some new characters again through some exciting new actors.
