Add four more names to the growing cast for True Detective season 2 with a couple of HBO veterans joining the production….
True Detective season 2 is about to get underway with production for a summer 2015 debut date and the cast list for the hit show just keeps expanding each week.
The latest news sees former “True Blood” star Riley Smith, who played Keith in the final season of the show, joining True Detective season 2 to play Rachel McAdams’ boyfriend on the series. He’s set for a recurring role in the upcoming second season.
Also added to the cast is Christian Campbell — who is best known for his role on the HBO series “Big Love” — and he’s also joining the cast in a recurring role. Campbell’s role is still undetermined at this time.
The final two cast members added this week were Michael Hyatt (who will play a real estate agent in the series) as well as Yara Martinez (who will play a Mexican-American immigrant who runs an inn).
True Detective season 2 stars Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams in a story that revolves around the investigation into the murder of a corrupt city manager and the conspiracy surrounding his death.
