The first full trailer for “1923” — the next installment in the “Yellowstone” series — has arrived with a deeper look at the upcoming prequel…
A battle to protect the family and their land at all costs is a running theme in “Yellowstone” and that appears to be the central theme for the upcoming prequel “1923,” which arrives on Paramount+ on December 18.
The series stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as the latest version of the Dutton family, who have already started to establish their domain in Montana while continuously adding new land to their empire.
Of course there are plenty of adversaries who have the same idea and that’s where Timothy Dalton comes into this latest series as he goes up against the Dutton family and their expansion of the Yellowstone-Dutton Ranch.
The series will also explore the past of other family members including those who went to war as well as the obstacles faced by the family during The Great Depression.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“1923, the next installment of the Dutton family origin story, will introduce a new generation of Duttons led by patriarch Jacob (Ford) and matriarch Cara (Mirren). The series will explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”
The upcoming series, which comes from “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan, also stars Darren Mann (“Animal Kingdom”), Michelle Randolph (“A Snow White Christmas”), James Badge Dale (“Hightown”), Marley Shelton (“Scream”), Brian Geraghty (“Big Sky”), Aminah Nieves (“Blueberry”), and Jerome Flynn (“Game of Thrones”).
