The first look at “The Fall of the House of Usher” has arrived as Mike Flanagan offers an updated and twisted take on this classic short story from Edgar Allen Poe…
Mike Flanagan is back with his latest horror series and this time he’s tackling a classic story from Edgar Allen Poe.
“The Fall of the House of Usher” — that arrives on Netflix on October 12 — will take that Poe short story along with several other tales from the master of the macabre and put them into this updated series with the first trailer arriving on Tuesday.
The new series, which follows Flanagan’s success with “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor” and “Midnight Mass,” will feature numerous favorites from many of his past series all returning for what appears to be a wild ride.
Here’s the synopsis from Netflix:
“The horror drama follows Roderick Usher (Bruce Greenwood), the CEO of a corrupt pharmaceutical company, who must face his shady past when each of his children begin to die in mysterious and brutal fashion.”
In addition to Greenwood, “The Fall of the House of Usher” cast includes Mary McDonnell, Willa Fitzgerald, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, Henry Thomas, Crystal Balint, Kyliegh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Matt Biedel, Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Daniel Jun, T’Nia Miller, Paola Núñez, Sauriyan Sapkota, and Ruth Codd.
All episodes for the series will drop on Netflix on Oct. 12 but for now take a look at the wild trailer for “The Fall of the House of Usher” before the series is released.
