The first Game of Thrones season 5 trailer has arrived and its chocked full of tidbits for the upcoming year ahead….
When last we left Westeros, Tyrion Lannister and his good friend Varys were headed out away from King’s Landing after the imp murdered his father following a mockery of a trial and a trial by combat that sentenced him to death.
Now Tyrion has crossed the Narrow Sea and he’s looking for a new ruler to step onto the Iron Throne, who will not only overthrow the Lannisters currently masquerading as Baratheons, but make sure his sister has no reach to get to him.
It seems Varys has an idea of the perfect ruler for Westeros — and her name is Daenerys Targaryen.
Also there’s a royal wedding coming (again) this season as Margaery looks to join the family by joining Tommen at the alter, the Sand Snakes — Oberyn Martell’s daughters — are looking for revenge for their father and a vengeful Cersei is still seeking justice against her brother.
