Tom Hardy will land on FX later this year with an event series event called Taboo alongside director Ridley Scott…
Tom Hardy is no stranger to television — Peaky Blinders fans already recognize his outstanding work from season 2 of that show — but now American audiences will witness his lead in the new event series Taboo from FX.
Hardy plays James Keziah Delaney, a man who moved to Africa and was long thought dead until his father passes away and he returns home to claim what’s left of his family’s empire.
Unfortunately, he finds out rather quickly that things aren’t what they seem at home and his arrival isn’t welcomed by many people in the community. Check out the premise for the series below:
“TABOO follows James Keziah Delaney, a man who has been to the ends of the earth and come back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa in 1814 to inherit what is left of his father’s shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But when his father’s legacy is revealed to be a poisoned chalice and enemies lurk in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder, and betrayal – a dark family mystery unfolds in an explosively colorful tale of love and treachery.”
Check out the trailer for Taboo, which debuts on FX later this year for an eight-episode event series. Also take a close look at the cast because it’s also a Game of Thrones reunion as well with Jonathan Pryce (who plays the High Sparrow) and Oona Chaplin (who played Robb Stark’s wife Talisa)
