‘Westworld’ will return for 10 more episodes in season 2 on HBO but you might be waiting a while to see it…
‘Westworld’ has officially been renewed at HBO with a 10 episode order for season 2.
The network made the announcement on Monday after ‘Westworld’ has become the most successful freshman drama in the history of HBO pulling in an average of 11.7 million viewers per week.
That means ‘Westworld’ has been out performing other hit series like ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘True Detective’ during its first season.
“It came out strong but I wanted to make sure that it stayed strong and we had something great here,” HBO president of programming Casey Bloys said on Monday.
According to HBO, ‘Westworld’ season 2 will likely debut in late 2017 or even early 2018 due to the elaborate production that’s required to make this show come to reality.
‘Westworld’ season 1 has three episodes remaining with the next airing this Sunday at 9pm on HBO.
