Woody Harrelson is in early talks to join the ‘Han Solo’ film starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke…
Woody Harrelson — best known for his roles in ‘True Detective’ as well as ‘The Hunger Games’ films — is in early talks to play a pivotal role in the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ spinoff focused on the early days of Han Solo.
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as the infamous smuggler, who will one day help defeat the Empire while Donald Glover plays his good pal Lando Calrissian.
Harrelson is being eyed to play Solo’s mentor as he takes up smuggling as his primary trade, which is obviously an important part considering the character’s development throughout the ‘Star Wars’ franchise after first appearing in ‘A New Hope’ in 1977.
Talks are in the early stages but Harrelson appears to be the prime target for Lucasfilm to snag the role as Solo’s mentor.
The ‘Han Solo’ spinoff is due out in theaters in 2018 and also stars ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Emilia Clarke in an untitled role for the project as well.
